The Transports

The following is a list of the transports currently in use with the Cerberus Logistics System.
The Transports
The system is comprised of 3 separate craft. Additionally, there is an upgrade available for the Firefly that will allow for the use of the Cerberus Modules as well. Only the larger starships would be assigned all of the various types of craft. The beauty of this system is that, with the exception of the oversize Modules, any craft from any ship could pick up a Module left by another. The logistical implications of this system are simply incredible, as it simplifies the entire process of cargo and supply management.
Characteristics of both transports:
• Interchangeable
• Interoperability
• Self-Interlocking Life Support, ODN & LCARS Conduits
• Able to act as Personnel Escape Pods
• Multiple Entry and Interconnectivity Point Configuration
• Independent Emergency Life Support Systems
• Independent RCS Thrusters
• Emergency Rations and Survival Supplies
Both transports feature a similar Module area that is open on all four sides, with a 1 meter thick framing system. Modules are loaded from overhead. The tops of the frames have 1.5 meter flaps that open on all four sides. The bottom features 2 meter flaps, and the rear has 1 meter panels all around, with the exception of the bottom which only has a small 0.3 meter lip. This is so that the Modules may be opened for loading/unloading without their removal. Each Module features a retractable ramp. The Modules themselves are attached to the ships via an adaptable/expandable rail system that allows the transport to hover and offload Modules using a small tractor beam system at destination if required. Modules may be accessed from the transport, as well as Module to Module access through seal-able ports.

The Polaris Transport:
The Polaris has the ability to transport a 2 Standard Modules, 1 Extended Module, or 1 Vehicle Module. This system allows for a smaller Starship to carry less transport craft yet have more functionality available. In addition, there several mini Modules in development as well which could be extremely useful, especially where the Polaris is concerned.
